Mr. Phil E. Mulacek has a proven track record of over 40 years in oil and gas and LNG development, leading and delivering complex deals in the energy industry. He has deep expertise in all aspects of the integrated oil & gas spectrum across the upstream, mid-stream, and downstream, working across difficult geographies. 

He was the founder and former Chairman and CEO of an NYSE listed company InterOil Corporation (IOC), founded in 1991. Under his tenure, Phil pioneered the company into a vertically integrated oil and gas company and shepherded IOC into an NYSE listing and market capitalization of over US$5.2 billion. He also led IOC by securing and building a refinery in Papua New Guinea to discovering over (12+ Tcf) or over 1.6 billion barrels of oil equivalent in Papua New Guinea (PNG); independently certified. This gas volume growth over 4 years was enough to underpin 12mtpa to 20 mtpa of LNG capacity, a feat that remains unsurpassed in Asia in the past 40 years.

Phil is also the founder of Petroleum Independent and Exploration Corporation (PIE Corp), focused on U.S. oil and gas development and processing to LNG. PIE Corp and affiliates holds a substantial number of domestic oil and gas royalty mineral acreage interests, with over 500,000 acres in several states across Texas and Louisiana. PIE Corp is developing several certified oil and gas properties with a fast-track development to ensure gas supply for Gulf Coast LNG plants.
